Lunch debate: Mental health and the impact of discrimination and inequalities based on race and ethnicity

Mental Health Europe is delighted to invite you to an event at the European Parliament (and online) titled ‘Mental Health and the impact of discrimination and inequalities based on race and ethnicity’. Hosted by MEP Tilly Metz (Greens/EFA), this event will take place on the 14thof November between 13:00 –14:30.

Mental health is an integral part of health yet remains an area where many marginalised groups face significant disparities. Across Europe, individuals from racial and ethnic minorities experience unique mental health challenges driven by systemic discrimination and inequality.

In line with the new EU legislature, this event in the European Parliament will serve as a platform to discuss the intersection of mental health, race, and ethnicity, while focusing on the need for policy reforms, equitable access to care, and the implementation of culturally competent mental health services. The event will bring together key actors to discuss the current state of play and steps required towards an approach which combat discrimination and promote equality and equity.

We hope you will be able to join us on Thursday the 14th of November!
