Infographic “Words Matter” now available in Croatian

On the occasion of the National Day of the Rights of Persons with Psychosocial Disabilities, the Croatian Institute of Public Health released a Croatian translation of MHE’s ‘Words Matter’ infographic. ‘Riječi su važne’ aims to raise awareness, promote understanding and reduce stigma and discrimination surrounding people with mental health problems in Croatia.

The infographic explores the way we talk about mental health. Language can be a powerful tool in raising awareness and fighting stigma. But it can also cause offence out of a lack of awareness. Therefore, the document contains tips on how to be mindful of the words we use when it comes to mental health.[/vc_column_text]

The infographic ‘Words Matter’ is also available in English and French. We are looking for volunteer translators to other European languages. If you would like to contribute please contact Jennifer Oroilidis, Communications Assistant at Mental Health Europe via assistant@mentalhealtheurope.org.

MHE would like to thank the Croatian Institute of Public Health for translating the infographic.
