MHE Director Claudia Marinetti spoke at EU Health Security event by the European’s Commission DG SANTE

At the Health Security in the EU ‘Covid-19 lessons learned to build a stronger EU Health Union’ event on 23rd November in Luxembourg, MHE Director Claudia Marinetti reiterated the importance of focusing on mental health.

Her presentation focused on four areas: improve our understanding of mental health; work on the social determinants; improve mental healthcare systems; co-create policies and practices.  

To ensure a stronger EU, we should invest in prevention and promotion as well as improve the narrative “mental health is good”.  This requires ending stigma by leveraging current awareness and building resilient communities.
