Conference “Transparency of cooperation between the pharmaceutical industry, healthcare professionals and user organisations”
Mental Health Europe, together with the Center for Bioethics and Biolaw of the University of Warsaw, is organising a meeting about transparency between healthcare professionals, the pharmaceutical industry and user organisations. It will take place on November 30, 2018 at the Human Rights Commissioner Office (Długa 23/25 Street) in Warsaw from 9:30 to 16:15.
The meeting will be divided into three discussion panels, which will concern the relations of the pharmaceutical industry and doctors, cooperation of pharmaceutical companies with patient/user organisations and the effectiveness of self-regulation of the industry.
Among the invited speakers there will be representatives of the pharmaceutical industry, healthcare professionals, users of mental health services, researchers, as well as representatives of the Human Rights Commissioner, Patient Rights Commissioner, Polish Psychiatric Association and public institutions operating in the area of healthcare.
The meeting is organised within the framework of the “Shedding Light” project, which looks at transparency issues between the mental health sector and the pharmaceutical industry. The main objective of Shedding Light is to raise awareness about the importance of transparency in the field of mental health and to encourage the adoption of sunshine and transparency laws across Europe.
