Pfalzklinikum to mark World Mental Health Day 2018

This year World Mental Health Day 2018 is focusing on the mental health of young people. MHE member the Pfalzklinikum is set to mark the day – Wednesday 10 October – with an event to celebrate the first anniversary of the opening of the organisation’s day care clinic for child and youth psychiatry.

The Pfalzklinikum provides mental health support in the palatinate region of Germany and offers a lot of services for young people, including child and youth psychiatry, psychosomatics and psychotherapy.

Everyone interested in attending the celebration is invited to visit the clinic from 13.00 to see the centre and participate in guided tours. Workshops on art therapy, games for adults and children, and body percussion for movement and balance, will take place at 14.00 and 16.00. The Pfalzklinikum also hope the day will include some magical moments… literally. At 15.00 magician Martin Mathias will perform an interactive show for children.

Experts will also be on hand throughout the open day to answer questions and speak about techniques that can help children and young people address the challenges in their everyday lives.
