2019 European Empowerment Seminar to take place in Germany

The 2019 European Empowerment Seminar “Mental Health Europe creates Empowerment” will take place on 25-26 September 2019 in University Koblenz – Landau, Campus Landau in Landau, Pfalz, Germany.

The seminar will focus on how to achieve better empowerment and participation of (ex-)users of mental health services. At the Empowerment Seminar, users and ex-users of services will discuss ways to improve empowerment and participation from personal, regional and national perspectives. The seminar will explore the role of independent complementary advice in empowerment in European mental health care.

This seminar is for persons with lived experience of using mental health services. We strongly encourage users, survivors, persons with psychosocial disabilities and experience of mental ill health to register.

MHE will cover the costs for attendance (travel, accommodation and subsistence) for a limited number of members. Please note: due to a limited budget for this event, we may not be able to accept all applications. We will give priority to representatives from user-led organisations and will try to ensure a geographic balance. Selected participants will be informed by 12th August 2019.
